AFT: Active feedback sensing technology

Makita active feedback sensing technology is a built-in smart function that minimises the effect of kickback. The technology uses an onboard accelerometer to measure rotation and will electronically turn off the motor if rotation is suddenly forced to stop. In addition, the torque-limiting clutch is engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging the gears.

ADT: Automatic torque drive technology

The automatic torque drive technology featured in some of these Makita angle grinders automatically adjusts the speed and torque of the tool, providing optimal performance across a wide range of applications. During operation, if the tool is put under a heavy load, ADT will detect this and apply more torque and speed to power through the task.
