FAQs

Can I use a drywall screwdriver for normal screwdriving tasks?

A drywall screwdriver can technically be used for normal screwdriving applications however drywall screwdrivers generally have lower torque levels which may make them less optimal for more demanding tasks.

What makes these different from standard drill drivers?

Most drywall screw guns have a pressure driven clutch. This engages the drill motor when the screw is pressed into the drywall and disengages when the screw is driven in - a feature that is not found on conventional drill drivers.
