Types of Impact Wrenches
18V Cordless Impact Wrenches
A highly popular option when it comes to impact wrenches, these tools offer a great balance between versatility, portability, and power, providing a compact tool that can be used for a wide range of tasks, while still having plenty of power for more demanding tasks, with some models capable of delivering upwards of 1300Nm of torque. 18V cordless models are a great option if you want a capable tool that can handle a wide variety of tasks.
3/8 Impact Wrenches
Our range of 3/8 inch impact wrenches are a great choice for users who frequently work in confined spaces, due to their compact ergonomic designs. They’re also a good option for tasks that require a bit of extra precision and accuracy, making them great for DIY tasks around the home.
1/2 Impact Wrenches
1/2 impact wrenches offer more power than 3/8 models, providing more capability when dealing with rusted and stubborn bolts. 1/2-inch cordless impact wrenches are a great option for professionals who need extra power for more demanding tasks, such as automotive mechanics who frequently work with extremely stubborn lug nuts.

Impact sockets
Using regular sockets with impact wrenches can cause them to break or wear out quickly due to the high torque levels. Make sure that you use Impact sockets that can withstand the extra rotational force of impact wrenches. Our range of Impact sockets are designed to deal with higher levels of stress and are, therefore safer to use with your tool. See our full range of impact sockets here.
FAQs
What is the difference between impact drivers and impact wrenches?
Impact drivers and impact wrenches are similar tools but with significant differences. Impact drivers use hexagonal drives that hold screwdriver bits, whereas impact wrenches use square drives that hold sockets and provide high torque for loosening and tightening large fasteners, such as lug nuts. Impact wrenches are more powerful and suited for heavy-duty jobs, while impact drivers are more compact and versatile for most home jobs.
