Impact Driver Features

High-torque efficiency

Our range of impact drivers provide outstanding levels of fastening power that can be used for driving screws, fastening nuts and bolts, loosening rusted nuts & bolts and much more. These tools output higher torque levels than a drill, making them more efficient for quickly driving long, wide and large screws into tough materials. The higher torque of these impact drivers can significantly reduce your work time when large volumes of fasteners need to be secured, making them a great choice for professional tradesmen and DIY users working on large projects.

Ergonomic portability

Our selection of Impact drivers feature carefully designed ergonomic handles that are comfortable to use, even during extended periods of hard use. These compact tools are designed to be lightweight, making them easy to transport between jobs while their shorter profile allows them to easily fit into a carry case, tool chest or backpack.

Flexible battery systems

If you're looking for a cordless impact driver instead of a corded model, the vast majority within our range allow for batteries from the same brand and of the same Voltage to be used interchangeably between your existing tools. For example, if you already own several Milwaukee M18 tools, then your existing battery packs will fit into your new M18 impact driver, allowing you to save money by opting for a body-only model.

FAQs

What are impact drivers used for?

Impact drivers are typically used for fastening jobs that require a bit more torque than combi drills offer. They are excellent at driving large screws and tightening nuts into hard materials like wood and metal. This added torque also allows you to get more work done in less time, making them a great time-saving option for contractors.

What’s the difference Between a ½” and ¼” impact driver?

½” and ¼” impact drivers use different types of drives, and therefore require different bits. ¼” impact drivers use hex drives which accept ¼ inch bits, while ½” impact drivers use square drives which require larger ½” square shaft bits.

What should I look for when buying an impact driver?

When purchasing an impact driver there are some key aspects you should always pay attention to, including the battery, feature set, weight, and motor type. For more information check out our impact drivers buying guide on the blog!
