The Makita DHP458 cordless combi drill / driver is an extremely compact tool with an overall length of 225mm the shortest in its class with high power and productivity achieved with new DC motor (FD31-30). The DHP458 has enhanced dust and drip-proof performance to ensure reliable operation. With significantly more power, more drilling capabilities, increased robustness and added extras such as a depth stop and side handle, the DHP458Z is an all round winner if you're looking for the perfect combi to add to your collection.
The high power 4 pole motor produces more energy and power than normal motors thanks to its amazing maximum 91Nm torque, maximum no load speed of 2000 rpm, and impact rate of up to 30,000 bpm.
It is perfect for use in a variety of materials and a wide range of applications thanks to its 21 position adjustable torque control for uniform results and optimised precision, 2 speed/variable speed with reverse, 13mm single sleeve keyless chuck for easy bit installation/removal by one hand, and drilling up to 13mm into steel, 65mm into wood, and 16mm into masonry.
It features a variable speed trigger for greater control along with a twin LED job light with pre-glow for use in low visibility applications.
By pushing the trigger, the three-stage battery fuel gauge allows you to see how much battery power is still available. Three lights are on, using more than half the battery's capacity. 20% to 50% of the battery's capacity with 2 lights on. Less than 20% of the battery's capacity is used up by one light.
Protection from dust and dripping water is improved compared to the current model, making it suitable for use in outdoor applications or hard conditions.
