The Trend KWJ700 Worktop Jig is a professional-grade tool designed to cut joints up to 700mm wide in worktops. Made from hard-wearing, CNC-machined compact grade high-pressure laminate, this 12mm thick jig can create both joint parts in just 15 minutes, including setup time. It accommodates various cuts, including left and right-hand corners, a 400mm radius peninsular joint, a 45-degree end cut with a slight radius, and a 45-degree trade corner solution for hob units. Additionally, it can handle 100mm and 40mm radius corners, a 35mm kitchen door hole, and a 3/4 inch BSP hole for mixer taps. The jig features fixed lengths for worktops measuring 250mm, 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, 550mm, 600mm, 616mm, 635mm, 650mm, and 700mm, and it cuts through worktops up to 40mm thick, with or without an anti-drip post-formed edge. It includes three open-ended bolt recesses (dog bone style) for 150mm bolts and engraved lines for short 65mm bolts and cross-cuts. The jig also utilises 10mm diameter plastic pins with a tapered shoulder for a tight fit, providing three-point pin contact for easy setup and engraved markings for pinhole identification. To use the jig, you'll need a portable plunge router with a 12.7mm (1/2 inch) shank capacity and a minimum of 1300 watts, a template guide bush with a 30mm outside diameter (ref. GB30), a TCT router cutter with a 12.7mm (1/2 inch) diameter and 50mm (2 inch) cut length, and two clamps.
