FAQs

What does sandpaper grit mean?

On sandpaper and other sanding accessories, grit refers to the abrasive grade of the product, or in other words the coarseness of the grain. A higher grit indicates a smaller grain and therefore a finer abrasive product – a lower grit indicates a larger grain and a rougher abrasive side.

What protective equipment should I wear whilst sanding?

When using any sanding tool, the most important equipment to use is a respirator and eye protection. Sanding releases potentially dangerous particles into the air you don’t want to inhale, so as a minimum, wear an FFP2 respirator and safety goggles.
